July 23 was "Batman Day": Happy 75th Birthday, Batman! Not too bad for a 75-year-old hero

DC Comics has declared July 23 as "Batman Day" in honor of the crime fighter's 1939 comic book debut.

To help celebrate Batman Day, Gulf News / tabloid has put together a 4-page PDF highlighting the evolution of the dark knight over the years. "Batman's overall look has evolved over the decades in the different universes of comic books, TV shows, movies and even video games, resulting in hundreds of different versions. tabloid! has selected 20 of the most iconic, popular and oddest incarnations of the caped crusader to create this series of fully digital sculptures. Enjoy."

tabloid! has done a pretty amazing job and I just love these infographics. Check out the SOURCE: Gulf News for all the pdf and images, including Bat gadgets and Bat vehicles over the years, covering everything from shark repellents to electromagnetic pulse (EMP) guns. tabloid! features the more iconic and significant contraptions and modes of land transport Batman has used throughout his crime-fighting career.

Scroll down to see the rest of the pictures of the 20 most iconic Batman to ever appear over 75 years, including an interpretation of what the new Ben Affleck Batsuit will look like in the upcoming "Batman vs Superman" film. Click on them for bigger and better views.

It is highly recommended that you head over to the source: SOURCE: Gulf News to check out the 4-page PDF on the evolution of Batman. It’s pretty cool!
