Fury is a 2014 American war film written and directed by David Ayer. The film stars Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña, and Jon Bernthal. The film portrays US tank crews in Nazi Germany during the final days of World War II. From Ted Menten:
Once again Hollywood plays "fast and loose" with WW2 history. With action figure companies duplicating the error. Brad Pitt's hair cut is much too modern to be authentic. The US military life usually began with a buzz cut done with an electric razor zip, zip, zip -- down to the scalp. There are historic photos of ELVIS getting his buzz cut when he went into the military. Once soldiers were in the field their hair could grow out and those "behind the lines" usually opted for the traditional "crew cut" or a very modified "normal" hair length. The FURY hair cut reflects modern styles rather than historic ones.
